Light cured Glass Ionomer vs light cured composite -In adult teeth -in paediatric teeth

Answer
Light Cured glass Ionomer are best for liner and bases. As a restorative material their uses are very limited due to high wear rate and questionable fluoride release with poor bond strength. Therefore after considering the remaining thickness of dentin light cure composite definitely have an edge over Glass Inomers.

material of choice in case of several abrasion of u/l molars.

Answer
The Material of Choice for U/L molars remains glass ionomer due to its better bio compatibility. If aesthetics is of main concern then composite restoration can be given above glass ionomer base.
